The staff was friendly, and the kitchen area had everything needed. I found dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets, and recycling bins which was very useful. Soft towels were in the bathroom. someone had made up a tray of ice.

the hotel is very central. ian at reception was helpful upon my arrival and departure. the hotel allowed early luggage drop off and also held it on my departure. the apartment included everything needed for a convenient and comfortable stay. fresh milk and a bottle of water were welcome extras.

the fire alarm went off three times during my two-night stay. the 7 am alarm was fairly stressful. one alarm was routine testing but another was set off by a guest cooking.

the location was very nice! my one-bedroom apartment seemed like a sanctuary of calm. the staff were helpful and available for any questions.

Check-in and check-out were efficient and convenient. The location is central, steps from the train station (easy access from Edinburgh). I received an upgrade to a penthouse suite, and it was amazing.

The website did not provide the promised link for discounted parking at the nearby NCP car park.
